Why Buy Boom Lifts from DWL Machinery?
Buying used access equipment requires trust. DWL Machinery takes compliance seriously; we ensure our used boom lifts meet Australian Standards and have valid service histories where possible. We inspect basket levelling, control responsiveness, and emergency descent systems. Whether you need a diesel 4WD unit for rough construction sites or a quiet electric model for indoor warehouse work, we have the right machine for your application.
Electric, Diesel, and Hybrid Options
The industry is shifting, and so is our inventory. We offer traditional diesel power for outdoor stamina, as well as modern electric and hybrid boom lifts that offer zero emissions for indoor use or noise-sensitive environments. Let us help you future-proof your fleet with the right power source.
Boom Lifts Frequently Asked Questions
Access equipment is strictly regulated, and choosing the right boom lift involves understanding reach, weight, and power requirements. Below are answers to the most frequent questions we receive to assist you in making a safe and compliant purchase.
Articulating (knuckle) booms have joints that allow them to reach “up and over” obstacles. Telescopic (stick) booms extend straight out, offering greater horizontal reach.
For used machines approaching 10 years of age, we can advise on their certification status. Many of our units are sold with a current “major inspection” or are young enough not to need one yet.
Yes, the majority of our outdoor diesel boom lifts are 4WD with oscillating axles for rough terrain capability.
Working height is generally 2 meters higher than platform height (assuming a person standing in the basket reaching up). We usually list machines by working height.
While we don’t provide training directly, we can refer you to accredited training providers for the WP (Boom type) High Risk Work License.
